BARK ON THE BOARDWALK

An immersive treat and photo experience created in collaboration with Dog Bar Bay Area in Pleasanton, CA. Five fitting rooms were transformed into different photo booths for dogs reminiscent of a boardwalk experience.

There are also giant handmade cotton candy and salt water taffy decorations suspended from the ceiling. In the center is a modern pink velvet chair with a matching throw pillow.

CANDY SHOP

Giant salt water taffies and cotton candy float overhead in our version of a candy shop. Pink walls and checkered vinyl floors complete the look! For an interactive touch, we installed a treat dispenser (to the left) to dole out colorful treats!

HOT DOG STAND

This room featured a handmade hot dog stand complete with a scalloped awning and a punch needle hot dog. Mustard yellow walls and flying condiments made for an extra fun photo op! Furry visitors also received a droolworthy cheese dog!

SODA POP

A giant soda bottle hung overhead in our soda shop room! Iridescent “barkling soda” streamers and bubbles added sparkle, while the mint walls and white stripes were a nod to retro soda fountains. Pups practiced their nose work, sniffing out treats from under a stack of plastic cups.

There are also tickets in a stripe pattern on the floor. A pink net hangs at the top of the room and is filled with cute stuffed animals and plushies. The bottom of the room is covered in more plush toys of all sizes including a giant teddy bear.

PRIZES AND PLUSHIES

We used prize tickets, toy nets, and plushies to turn our second largest room into a pup’s prize paradise! The layered ticket backdrop and striped ticket floor were made for selfies. Pups posed amongst the plushies and had a squeaky good time!

WATER RIDE

Our last photo room took parents and pups on an underwater adventure! Blaire designed and painted the under the sea mural and constructed a submarine-inspired structure around the existing bench seat.

Iridescent jellyfish, overhead netting, marine props, and a pre-recorded boarding message completed the experience. Pups were also treated to edible bubbles dispensed from a bubble machine.

Two small dogs, an Aussie mix and Shih Tzu mix are propped on the handlebars of a submarine water ride photo booth for dogs. They're dressed in glittery tops, rhinestone collars, sunglasses, lavender sneakers and matching hair bows. Behind them is a igiant purple seashell painted on the wall.

Blaire, a petite Asian woman with dark brown hair, is dressed in hot pink pants, a pink blazer, a straw hat. She stands with her hands in the air in front of the entry to her exhibit, Bark on the Boardwalk.

ENTRANCE AND HALLWAY

The entrance to the exhibit was labeled with a marquee “Bark” sign and vinyl lettering. We draped pink netting on each side and hung seaside elements in pastel colors.

The floors were covered in sheets that looked like colored wood planks and more pink netting was hung overhead. Each room had it’s own sign and audio buttons featuring coordinating music or sounds.

CUSTOM BACKDROPS

A backdrop made from colored coffee filters folded into cone shapes and strung together in strands. The coffee filters are dyed in various coral shades and are arranged in an ombre pattern.

CORAL PETAL BACKDROP

A custom photo backdrop made from dip dyed coffee filters. This was initially created as inspiration for a wedding fair and was also used for a Galentine’s Day networking event.
