Hello friends! I’m Blaire and I’m the artist and founder of Freshly Fuji. I grew up in Hilo, Hawaii and for as long as I can remember, I have loved arts and crafts…and rainbows! As a kid I spent my free time sewing with my grandma, making jewelry, decorating my room, and dreaming of being an artist. Some things haven’t changed! 

I have a passion for helping others, so I went to pharmacy school and fulfilled my dream of becoming a pediatric pharmacist. Six years into my job, I was burnt out and struggling with my health. I developed chronic illnesses that made it hard to function in an often stressful environment. With the support of my family, I made the difficult decision to leave to focus on improving my health.

Eventually I rediscovered my creative side and started sharing my projects on Instagram. I connected with other creative humans (on and off-line) who inspired me to dream a new dream. For once I felt hopeful that my story wasn’t over. From these humble beginnings, I started Freshly Fuji as a way to express myself and share my passion for creating things with others.

Today I live in the San Francisco Bay Area with my supportive husband, Richard and two adopted senior pups, Frankie and Penny. They are my sunshine and have helped me weather the darkest storms. Our favorite getaway spot is Carmel where dogs are people too! We live for beach days, boba, and a good picnic, but most of all, we love to laugh.

I’m still on my healing journey and am so grateful to have a creative life that fills me up. I hope my work brings a little light to your life and inspires YOU to create your own joy!
